Egy színházi előadás hangulatát nemcsak a történet és a szereplők teremtik meg,
hanem a díszletek is, amelyek életre keltik a színpad világát.
A lovas színház azonban egészen más feladat elé állítja a díszlettervezőt, mint egy hagyományos kőszínház.
Az előadások egy 50 méter hosszú és 15 méter széles játéktéren zajlottak,
ahol a díszleteknek nemcsak látványosnak kellett lenniük,
hanem biztonságosnak is a színészek, a lovasok és a lovak számára.
Mivel nem állt rendelkezésre zsinórpadlás és más hagyományos színházi technikai megoldás sem,
minden díszletet úgy kellett megterveznem, hogy gyorsan mozgatható, könnyen szerelhető és kis helyen tárolható legyen.
Az előadások hátterét egy közel 300 négyzetméteres festett vászon adta, amely darabonként változott.
Mivel a színdarabokat magam írtam, a díszletek megtervezését és elkészítését is magamra vállaltam.
Így már az írás során figyelembe vehettem a megvalósítás lehetőségeit, a színdarab igényeit és a gyakorlati szempontokat is.
A kivitelezésben a fiam és egy alkalmi munkatárs segített,
a festett háttereket azonban minden alkalommal egyedül készítettem el.
Az itt látható díszletek hosszú évek munkájának eredményei.
Mindegyik egy történet része volt, de számomra önálló alkotásként is fontos emléket jelent.
The atmosphere of a theatrical performance is created not only by the story and its characters, but also by the stage sets that bring the world of the play to life.
Equestrian theatre presents challenges that are quite different from those of a traditional indoor theatre. The performances took place in a performance arena measuring 50 metres in length and 15 metres in width, where the sets had to be not only visually impressive but also completely safe for the actors, riders, and horses.
As there was no fly tower or conventional stage machinery available, every set had to be designed to be easily movable, quick to assemble, and compact enough for storage in a limited space. The backdrop for each production consisted of a hand-painted canvas covering nearly 300 square metres, created specifically for the individual play.
Because I wrote the plays myself, I also took full responsibility for designing and building the stage sets. This allowed me to consider the practical possibilities, the specific requirements of each production, and the technical limitations from the very beginning of the writing process.
The construction work was carried out with the help of my son and an occasional assistant, while every painted backdrop was created entirely by my own hand.
The stage sets presented here are the result of many years of creative work. Each one served as part of a story, yet for me they also remain independent works of art and lasting memories.
